'Looper' Trailer

After three days of anticipation for the official Looper trailer, I am impressed. This feels like Twelve Monkeys (1995) meets Inception (2010). Maybe? This is Rian Johnson's third film, following his impressive debut film, Brick (2005) and then The Brother's Bloom (2008). His films shows the status of his directing career. Brick was a super low budget neo-film noir that wowed and impressed audiences and critics alike. The Brother's Bloom was his transition to Hollywood but it felt more like Wes Anderson's status as a prominent but indie artist. Now, his third film Looper is surely to show the peak of his destination and secure a spot in Hollywood.

In a futuristic world where time travel is invented but illegal and only used in the black market, targets will be sent 30 years into the past to get killed by a Looper (Joseph Gordon-Levitt.) JGL is living the good life and is sleeping with benjamins until the day they decide to "seal the loop", sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.

anything remotely sci-fi, I will watch nowadays. Sad, but true. It's hard to come by one these days that's been made really well without the sacrificing the creativity for the budget. let's hope this blockbuster gives succeeds in both making some dough and creatively stimulate our minds. it comes out September 28!
